Drippy Nose Part Two.

Oh dear indeed! The lovely girls have given their drippy nose bug to Dad now so we're a bit of a sneezy household at present. Just to add to the misery, it's been raining all week so yesterday (Saturday) seemed like the perfect opportunity for the girls to grab a fix of that timeless classic, "Mary Poppins"!
They're not always so restful of course. The other day in the yard Ali took it upon herself to charge up to Lily with her hands held high in "scary beast" pose and yelling at her "RAAAAARRGH, I'M A SCARY TIGERRRR!!!!" to which Lily, who had just stepped out of the playhouse, calmly and sweetly replied, "Oh... would you like some milk?" A somewhat deflated Ali started after the dog to elicit a more terrified reaction.

Drips

Oh dear, Mum and the kids have got the drippy nose flu that's going around at the moment. It didn't stop the children from doing some charming dancing this afternoon before they fell asleep watching the opera.

Ali seems to have been sneaking off to her friend's houses to watch Trinny and Susannah judging by her choice of outfit for last Saturdays Farmer's market. Maybe we should let her choose everyones clothes...

Hi Hi Hi Beautiful Sunday

The glorious weather goes on and on in Northerly Northland. We spent the morning puttering in the garden making compost:-) Dad got out the kite when a breeze came up at lunchtime much to the delight of both girls. We went to try it out at the park after our initial success at home but there was no breeze there so we had to be content with the simple pleasures of feeding ducks, walking the dog, and playing on the playground.

Ali enjoyed her second week of school just as much as her first. She spent a lot of time today writing and drawing, and talking about numbers. She was a little disappointed last night that Sunday is not a school day but we cheered her up by explaining that Monday was coming up.
