Ski ski ski

retro lunch in Taihape tearooms

Taihape the gumboot capital of the world

Harrods was closed unfortunatley
Just back from our winter holidays in Ohakune.  We had a magic time, some lovely sunny days skiing with the kids, lounging with the gumboot in Taihape, hanging out with Dad and Rosie and the best day of the season skiing without the kids!  Our friend Irene came to visit from Rotorua and came for a ski.  We also made our annual trip to visit Auntie Jose and soak up hot mineral water at Tokaanu.  The kids were very excited to wake up to 20cm of snow in Ohakune one morning and it certainly transformed the town into a winter wonderland.  It was a little strange to come home and find it is already spring here with dafodils bravely poking up their flowers all over the orchard.

Thanks for a great holiday Rosie and Noel!
